Stainless Steel Grade Cutting Wheel

Metal Cutting Disc Selection:

Angle Grinders: Thin discs are now most popular for use on angle grinders as they cut faster and produce less heat, although it is not necessarily the case that the thinner the better. We recommend the Right Lines thin discs which are just 1.2mm thick but retain a good stiffness, which is important if you wish your cuts to be reasonably straight.

Bench Chop Saws: The vast majority of these swas use 14in or 355mm wheels. For this size of cutting wheel, it is worth buying to suit the metal to be cut. Longer life will be gained by using standard cutting discs on mild steel, especially on thicker section. Stainless steel grade wheels are also available.

Hand Held Petrol Saws: If metal is to be cut externally, petrol saws can be used. Because modern petrol saws such as those made by Stihl or Huqvarna have higher speed ratings, higher speed duty cutting wheels should be used for safety. We stock 100m/s treble re-inforced wheels for this application.

Cold Cutting TCT Blades: Some sites demand cold cutting, which can be a problematic to the use of abrasive cutting discs. TCT saw baldes are now available that will cut metal. We stock popular sizes.
